En plein air watercolor painting of the crashing surf on the rocky coast of Conanicut Island, in Narragansett Bay, Rhode island, showing the brilliant blues and blue-greens of the early autumn ocean. A place of importance all of my life - as our childhood memories of biking, hiking and swimming throughout Jamestown with our cousins, and sailing there as an adult - have inspired many paintings of various coastal locations there.
