workshop will help you gain a mastery of color in your paintings. Color theory will be explored and explained with hands-on
exercises to develop your awareness of color and its relationship to the pigments we use in watercolor. Improve your paintings
by learning the skills to create clean, brilliant color in your paintings. Your new skills will be reinforced by individual
and group critiques. For watercolorists with some experience, previous drawing experience
is recommended.
BEGINNING WATERCOLOR - This course
takes place on TUESDAYS from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Often called "the Masters' Medium", WATERCOLOR PAINTING
can present a challenge for the beginner, but this workshop will provide you shortcuts to success. Enhance your skills
by learning tips for its mastery, beginning at the beginning with brush strokes, organization of the picture plane, planning
your paintings, and using the natural qualities of the medium to create successful paintings from the first meeting.
Build your skills while working with others. Each class offers you one-on-one instruction and group observation and
analysis for improvement of your paintings. BEGINNING DRAWING - This course takes place on THURSDAYS from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Drawing is the underlying
structure for the study of art. This course helps you to learn to see in a new way. Using basic drawing materials, such
as pencils, charcoal and charcoal pencils, you will expand your visual knowledge. Experience with drawing from the still
life, understanding tonal range and expression with line, will open your world and give you the confidence you need to realize
you can do it! To Register: Register using the form below, or call Sally at 508-336-8643 or email her at caswellart@comcast.net. Tuition
